Our sustainably sourced Indian Sandalwood is diluted at 5% with Jojoba oil. Traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine and renowned as a powerful antiseptic for urinary tract infections. Also useful for bronchitis, sore throats and skincare.

Sandalwood is a small evergreen tree that grows in India and other islands of the Indian Ocean, with the best quality grown in the Indian province of Mysore. The trees are protected by the State Government and only mature trees at the end of their life are allowed to be harvested. The heartwood is then used for building, furniture, incense and essential oil.
Sandalwood essential oil is steam distilled from the powdered heartwood, yielding an extremely thick and viscous oil. Diluting with Jojoba makes the oil easier to use and a more affordable alternative to the undiluted oil.
Sandalwood has a sweet, woody pungent aroma that is generally liked by both men and women. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine, perfumes, incense, toiletries and cosmetics for thousands of years.
