Lemongrass is a tall, fragrant grass that was originally grown wild in India. The essential oil is steam distilled from the narrow, finely chopped, fresh or partly dried leaves.

Lemongrass essential oil and has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat infections and fever. It has also traditionally used by Eastern cultures to aid prayer and meditation.
