Base Formula Ltd founder and director, Chris Keating, is taking a back seat within the organisation to start an exciting venture in a brand new sector. 

His new business, Oak at Home, has been running since January 2019 and makes handmade and personalised gifts out of sustainable, premium quality oak for the home and garden. This new direction follows Chris’ desire to turn his woodworking hobby into a fully-fledged new company so he can dedicate more time to his workshop and passion.

Despite the different types of products this new venture creates, Chris’ ethos for high quality, ethically sourced ingredients (that lies at the heart of Base Formula) continues into Oak at Home. All the products are crafted using sustainably sourced, kiln dried oak. And he is considering a new line of products that uses recycled wood to turn scrap materials into heartfelt gifts.

His wife Karen, already a long-time director at Base Formula, will be taking over the reins full time as Chris steps back and will continue business as usual within the aromatherapy sector.
