breaks easily if it accidentally rolls off a surface on to hard floor, broke 2 this way-gave up in the end and now use wooden spatulas! Hi Carrie Thank you for providing feedback. Unfortunately, as with any glass product, the rod will break if dropped onto a hard surface. Kind regards BF
